The NiCon (Niobrara Connector) energy rail hub south of Evans has seen its last snowfall for the season and is finally real. These past couple of weeks have seen the first rail shipments of frac sand through the facility, which kicks off the transloading business in the heart of the Denver-Julesburg Basin. Crude oil shipments will start in two weeks, and other commodities will come down the line.
